A test pressing is one of the very first vinyl copies ever produced during manufacturing. Before a full production run begins, a small handful of these records are pressed so the label and artist can carefully check the sound quality, dynamics, and overall pressing result. Only when everyone is satisfied does the album go into mass production.
Because of that, test pressings are:
- Extremely limited (often just a few copies worldwide)
- Not available in regular stores
- Highly sought-after by collectors
For Different, we received only 4 test pressings — and we decided to make them available.
Each copy is:
- Hand-numbered (1/4 – 4/4)
- Signed by BLACKBOOK directly on the vinyl label and on the sleeve
- A truly unique collector’s item from the very first moment this album came to life
But there’s more to it than rarity.
