What if love came from another planet?
I LOVE AN ALIEN is probably the most personal and conceptual album ever written by EXTIZE. It tells the story of a relationship — from the very first search for someone who feels right, to falling in love, facing difficult moments, and eventually learning how love can evolve instead of break.
The 15-track album follows the relationship step by step, in chronological order. It begins with that feeling of longing — searching for a partner, sending signals into the unknown, hoping someone out there is meant for you. Then comes the encounter, the attraction, the rush of physical desire. The butterflies. The moment when everything feels bigger than yourself.
But this isn’t a fairy tale. It goes deeper. As the relationship grows, so do the shadows. Doubt creeps in. Inner demons speak louder. Insecurity and fear begin testing the connection. Love is no longer just butterflies — it becomes about learning how to stay when it would be easier to run.
This album explores what happens after the first high — the emotional lows. It talks about trust, opening the relationship, sexuality and freedom, and about learning that love doesn’t have to mean ownership. Sometimes love grows stronger when it is allowed to breathe.
All of this takes place in a retrofuturistic parallel world, where a man falls in love with an alien. But the alien is more than a sci-fi character. It represents the unknown in the other person — the parts that feel strange, different, almost intimidating. And slowly, what once felt alien begins to feel like home.
Musically, the album blends traditional goth, darkwave and post-punk influences with the modern electro-industrial sound of EXTIZE. Cold, melodic passages meet driving beats and club energy. The vocals of RAPHA HELL move between clean, fragile tones and deep, aggressive growls — mirroring the emotional waves of the relationship itself. Some guest vocalists are also on board the spaceship: darkTunes Music Group label mates AGNIS, MORTES and WHITE RITUAL.
I LOVE AN ALIEN is not about perfect love. It’s about real love — the kind that goes through highs and lows and chooses to evolve instead of disappear. This is not just an album: it’s a relationship you live through from beginning to end.
